What is a question prompt?
Simply put, question prompts are other ways to approach a question on a template.
Sometimes a candidate will, intentionally or not, avoid answering the question you ask. Maybe they misunderstood, or maybe they know the answer will not serve them well. But it's important that you do not allow this, because it signals to the candidate that they can control the flow of the interview. See The three "be-ings".
Question prompts give you more ways to approach the question in these cases, so you can collect the data you need without compromising the rapport you have built with the candidate.
In HireBest, the prompts show under the question while you interview:

In a template, a badge shows how many prompts each question has. When you edit one of your organization's templates, you can add a follow-up prompt to any question. See How do I add or edit interview templates?
