Who should be on my hiring team?
Involving the right stakeholders throughout the hiring process sets your new hire up for success with these individuals. Internal subject-matter experts can also help you see what you're missing and broaden your perspective on the role. Not only will you achieve alignment, but you will also strengthen internal partnerships!
The hiring team's "board of advisors" usually consists of:
- The hiring manager
- Their manager (you'll want to ensure alignment here)
- Their HR partner or partners
- Internal customers and their peers
- Members of the hiring manager's team who will be the candidate's future peers
- External stakeholders (in select instances)
