How long should we expect to spend interviewing each candidate?

We recommend that each interviewer spend at least one hour with the candidate, covering the chapters of the candidate's past experience they have been assigned.

This may mean that the candidate spends multiple hours meeting with different members of the interview team! This may seem overwhelming for organizations that are new to having a structured process for hiring. But by spending the time up front to collect better data to evaluate the candidate, you can save many multiples of that time (and money!) that you may have spent managing a bad hire.
